Welcome to the North Texas Performing Arts Academy!
Educate. Explore. Experience.
The North Texas Performing Arts Academy provides a high-quality educational experience in a flexible, supportive learning environment to students in grades 6-12 with a passion for the performing arts.
Students can pursue seven unique certifications that cover the entire breadth of a serious theatrical arts education with our professional team of qualified directors and instructors. We work in tandem with the largest youth theatre in the country, holding classes in real, working theatres, providing training and experiences not typically available to students outside the collegiate and professional world.
The Academy offers a unique model combining its comprehensive performing arts education with a Core Academics Learning Environment. The Academy Core program features credentialed educational staff providing coaching, mentorship and support for students completing their core academic studies through online educational offerings provided in partnership with leading providers. This creates a flexible schedule enabling students to participate in auditions, professional engagements and other skill enhancing programs.
The Academy accepts under 100 students annually through application and audition. Classes are conducted at the NTPA Willow Bend Center of the Arts conveniently located just off of the Dallas North Tollway inside The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano, Texas.
The Academy participates in the Broadway Dallas High School Theatre Awards competition, and has partnered with organizations such as Shakespeare Dallas and The Plano Symphony to enrich classroom experiences. In addition, we offer a Master Class series that connects our students with industry professionals from New York, Hollywood and beyond.
Needs based scholarships are available.
