North Texas Performing Arts Announces
2nd Annual North Texas Performing Arts Celebration Station
and Lucky Stars Casino Night at The Shops at Willow Bend
Face painters, Balloon Artists, games, contests, live art demonstrations and performances await the North Texas community on Saturday, September 14th between 10AM and 5PM during the 2nd Annual North Texas Performing Arts Celebration Station at the Shops at Willow Bend. The fun-filled free family event will showcase fifty North Texas non-profits participating in North Texas Giving Day made possible by Communities Foundation of Texas.
Registration begins at 10:00 am in Grand Court (between Neiman Marcus and The Food Court) and the first 500 families will receive a special gift bag compliments of the Shops at Willow Bend.
The Main Stage will feature performances throughout the day including a performance by North Texas Performing Arts at 11:30 a.m followed by a Proclamation offered by Plano City Council Members Mayor Pro Tem Rick Smith, Rick Grady, and Lilly Bao officially opening the big event. Nationally recognized comedian and magician Bo Gerard who has shared the stage with Bill Gates, Glen Close and Terry Bradshaw and honored with the prestigious “Telly Award” will perform at 12:30p.m. transforming the audience with his humor and tricks.

“NTPA’s North Texas Giving Day allows donors large and small to play a part in the world’s largest one-day fundraiser” says NTPA Chief Executive Officer Darrell Rodenbaugh. “We are proud to support this incredible opportunity to showcase North Texas’s non-profits.”
Later that evening the North Texas Performing Arts hosts its “Lucky Stars Casino Night” at the Willow Bend Center of the Arts between 6:30-11:00p.m. Tickets are $60 and includes casino games, hor’dourves, karaoke, cash bar, dancing and lots of fun with a special Poker Tournament begininng at 6:00 p.m. for an additional $25. Funds raised go to support the non-profit North Texas Performing Arts to underwrite scholarships, programming and capital campaign needs.
