Zayde Vetter – Resident Director

North Texas Performing Arts is proud to announce the promotion of Zayde Vetter to the role of Resident Director.

Zayde joined the NTPA family in the spring of 2022, and has quickly become a favorite instructor among NTPA students and families in Plano and Southlake, having directed half a dozen NTPA shows in addition to classes and camps. Zayde believes that theatre has the power to inspire and foster growth. She consistently encourages the love of theatre in NTPA students while being an outstanding model of the NTPA Ten Characters.

Zayde graduated from Pacific Lutheran University, receiving her B.A. in Theatre with minors in Communication and Psychology. During a study abroad program at Oxford, her passions grew to include directing, playwriting, and dramaturgy. Some of her previous directorial productions include The Glass Menagerie, Ugly Lies the Bone, Frozen Kids, The Cat in the Hat, Winnie the Pooh Kids, and A Year with Frog and Toad. Her acting resume includes Pugsley in The Addams Family, Florence in Souvenir: a Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins, and Jaquinetta in Love’s Labors Lost. 

In addition to directing, Zayde also currently serves as NTPA’s Social Media Manager, overseeing content creation and scheduling for NTPA’s more than two dozen social channels.
